Do breeding transactions go through Equ'un?

No. Equ'un is a matching service connecting stallion owners with mare owners. All financial arrangements related to breeding services are made directly between the parties, outside the platform.

What are the limits of the Free plan?

The Free plan grants access to every feature, with these caps: 1 active listing, 5 photos per stallion and 1 photo per foal. The number of foals you may present is unlimited on every plan, including Free. The Free plan does not include videos: Pro allows 2 videos per stallion and Elite has no limit. Paid plans (Pro and Elite) lift the photo caps, so each foal gets a full gallery instead of a single picture, and they unlock branding-free exports and theme customization in Share & Export. For active listings: Pro allows up to 3, Elite has no limit.

Are some features reserved for paid plans?

No. Every feature (search, unlimited messaging, calendar, bookings, breeding booklet, PDF certificates, regulatory and accounting exports, statistics) is available from the Free plan. Pro and Elite only raise the volume caps and unlock branding-free exports and theme customization in Share & Export.

Can I change plans or cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can upgrade to Pro or Elite, downgrade between paid plans, or switch back to Free at any time. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the new benefits. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

What happens if I downgrade?

Accepted Answer

Your data is preserved: nothing is ever deleted. If your content exceeds the caps of your new plan (active listings, photos, foals), the excess is automatically hidden. For listings, we keep the one you have pinned first, then those with an open breeding season and the most viewed in recent months. If you later move back to a higher plan, all hidden content is automatically republished exactly as it was.

How does annual billing work?

Pro is billed €179/year (≈ €14.9/month, about 22% savings vs monthly) and Elite is billed €365/year (≈ €30.42/month, also about 22% savings). The subscription renews automatically on the anniversary date.

Does the breeding booklet help with my regulatory filings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The breeding booklet helps you prepare your filings with your breeding organization. For the IFCE (the French public institute for horses and riding), a dedicated export matches the fields expected by SIRE, the French national equine registry. For other studbooks, a generic export gathers the same information. Equ'un provides dated records and documents that are ready to send, but official validation remains the responsibility of your organization.

Is my breeding data secure?

Yes. Your data is hosted on secure servers and encrypted in transit. We comply with GDPR: you maintain full control over your data, can export it at any time, and request account deletion.
